James:

Is "brilliant analyst" an oxymoron, so to speak? I don't think the price of oil is dropping to un-economical levels any time soon. Besides, a short term drop in oilprices should not (at least theoretically) have a large effect on exploration, which is presumably concerned with the longer term supply picture. On the other hand, IMHO, market psychology is the real enemy here because of the "links" people tend to draw between things that are not necessarily connected.

I tend to think that once we get past all the end of the year fooling around by the big players that we should see some more price stability in this sector. I may be wrong, and I hope I'm not, but I feel optimistic about this sector and I'm hangin' in there. Good luck to you and try not to be glum. mph
