Peggy Noonan talked of something else really bothersome in her column.... in addition to what Obama has become.....BUT WHAT would this Department be looking for this type of person to do....data mine every thing negative to Obama they can find....in other words, spy on every day Joe Blow people? Will the US Government pay for this person? OR will the campaign pay for this? OR will Obama and cronies figure out a way to taylor-make ads for very individual parts of the country, and lie to them differently than they lie to other parts of the country????

This was for a campaign position, so the campaign would pay for it. It basically reads like a marketing position: help us data mine our customer base so we can refine the next product until it just hits the spot for our upscale customers in these zipcodes with 1.5 kids and a graduate degree, that kind of thing. It's not the kind of thing to strike fear into the political opposition, which is why a "Republican political veteran" forwarded it to Peggy Noonan. Just the opposite. In fact, it reads like the Obama campaign folks don't have a basic feel for the politics of the moment and are groping around for something to brag about, or more likely, some dirt to throw. Which is not surprising, considering the state of the economy. A better job description would be "Help us look for the magic button to make voters forget the jobs situation."
