Chris, So, you're tired of my posts? Now you know how I feel when I see your "tout and tease" posts which are based on nothing but thin air. I don't even remember now what that post of yours that got pulled consisted of. But I have a strong feeling that it must have been pretty outrageous, and I would also bet that I was not the only person who complained about it. What else did you complain about? Oh, you think I'm criticizing WSP because I want them to offer me money as a blackmail payment to stop my critiques? This assumes a few things which are probably false assumptions. 1. That my posts have a significant effect on the actions of mgt. 2. That I have a significant effect on the public perception of WSP. 3. That I'm in the market to get paid off for keeping quiet. Sorry to take the air out of your tires, but none of these theories hold up. #1.: I don't have a significant effect - look WSP went from 2.2 mil. options to 4.5, is it?- do you call that having an effect? They didn't send me a proxy or print my counter-argument in their proxy material. Doesn't look to me that I'm having much of an effect on mgt. #2.Public perception of WSP depends on their finding an economic source. Period. #3. Blackmail. Sure. I can see it now. "Mr. Tomato, Mr. Turner is calling for you" "Hello, Tomato, I'm tired of you trashing me and my gang. Sick of it, I tell you. Here's the deal, I'll pay you what you paid for your WSP shares to shut you up. You got to promise not to post on the WSP thread on SI, though. We got a deal?" "Why would you offer me all that money, Dandy?" "I can't get any work done. Every night I read that crap you write. It's driving me nuts. We would have drilled in that hole we were sure had a pipe in it, but I was so upset, I forgot to order the crew to drill it. Damn it, this has to stop." "Well, I don't want the money, Dandy. How about you just reverse the option decision and hold some news conferences periodically. Maybe have a phone conference for all the brokerage houses and interested SHs?" "No, I'd rather pay you blackmail money to get you out of my hair." No, Chris, I don't think that scenario flies, except in science fiction. Better think these ideas out a little better. What would I do if I were any of the WSP people you list? I'd do the right thing. No options at give away prices, some news releases, no promises of NRs that don't happen, little things like that. All I want is a company that does the right thing for their SH. That thinks the SHs, as Ross Perot would put it, are the owners of the company, not that the company is there for the benefit of mgt. There are, I am sure, despite protestations from some that "they all do it", some companies that have slightly higher standards of doing business than WSP. That's all I want. Would Warren Buffett trust WSP's mgt. with his money? Do you know that when you call WSP's number that the person who answer sometimes says, "Randco?" As to your last line, are you threatening me? Sounds like it. Are you going mental on me? Very sinister sounding, you are. I guess I had better look thru the peephole before answering my front door, eh? The goons may be after me. Maybe you're under a lot of stress. I understand from BB's hotline that the news on KRY may by out this week. If you still have a big position in KRY, I guess you're betting big that Placer and not you will be playing the KRYing game soon. Good luck!!
