You want a "stupid" bill passed? That does not surprise me because you place politics ahead of our country...but...it is a terrible position.

They have a great bill called Cut, Cap and Balance. They should just pick it up and pass it in the Senate,.

Ken, the bill is not past yet! It has to get past the Tea Party participants and Democrats in the House. What if the House can not agree with the changes and wishes to go to the Conference Committee between the parties. Then, it has to go back to the House and the Senate again and be signed into law by the President regarding any changes. It is at the point now as it has been as to whom is perceived by the voters as the cause of any default by the US. Then, if it does pass, the pain will be felt by those who have their benefits cut off - which could be millions. If not careful the Tea Party members could be tossed out in their next election as the masses organize against them since the Tea Party members will have a record and will clearly identified.

The only downside for the Democrats is whether the Far Left members of the party do not actively get engaged in the next campaign.
