I believe Obama lost this when he caved in Dec.

Obama didn't lose anything. The country lost, the Rs lost....but Obama didn't lose anything. You are ideologically myopic. So that means everything Obama does you see a loss. When you can't find a way to diss him like with the capture of bin Laden, you keep your mouth shut and disappear.

Obama is managing a country that verges on being a train wreck as it careens on and off the road. The fact the country is still running is a win and completely attributable to him. God knows the average R ain't doing anything and the average Dem ain't much better. How long he can keep this balancing act going is questionable but we are still here....for now.

What you say is all fine and dandy. But I expect my nation to protect this country and go back to the people to ask them to give him the tools to do so. They gave it to him in 2008 but I do not understand why he did not get that back in 2010. Do you have an answer? Did they think that he was not acting fast enough? If so, then do you think that in 2012, the American public would have learnt their lesson and give the tools back to him?

Off course, if it was a monarchy, he would not be required to do so. Or would he?
