Nothing in Social Security law, or in the constitution, or in court decisions, considers projected/planned future entitlement spending to be debt or contractual obligation. Legally if it isn't a debt or a contractual obligation default isn't an issue.

In any case as I've already pointed out the feds have more than enough money to pay both interest and Social Security.

* - Of course you can find a few examples who let their partisanship overwhelm their attention to truth, but many of them are just self proclaimed experts.
