Doubt if you have a higher opinion of Obama than I do. No it is not his fault that shit is unfolding the way that it is. The point is he could not stop it. I think it is short sighted to assume that he alone can prevail against these pressures. We now have sufficient empirical evidence to realize he cannot. It would also be shortsighted to assume that there is no other progressive who could be elected and succeed where Obama continues to fail. We need a Harry Truman incarnate. And we need Obama to stop bailing out the fucking Republicans so that they will win in 2012. Let them wear the baggage they insist on producing.....
