THE RECKONING The Iraq War Will Cost Us $3 Trillion, and Much More So, he's claiming that without the Iraq War, we wouldn't have had to spend the roughly half Trillion we spent each year on the DoD? at all? We could have saved the money? You know, we do need to pay for an army and a navy whether we are at war or not.
