6 billion people consuming need a lot of robots. In the past just a few consumed. Artisans were enough to produce for them.

Then the English had an idea of producing for many more people. That required factories. So it moved from cottage industries to factories.

The Americans extended the concept with parts that could be assembled. Fordism plus Taylorism anmd we had mass consumption.

Still too costly. Entered the Japanese. Much more people started having access to products.

End of Cold War. Massification of digital technologies. Enter the Dragon.

From today onwards mass consumption will cover the whole population of the planet.
Thus humans can no longer supply this planetwide market. Need robots' assistance.
