Ritch: That's an interesting question.. I don't believe you can call them and have them delivered to you..but why can't the IRA have them delivered to the IRA, and kept in the vault, with instructions not to be loaned out? I haven't a clue if I am right or wrong, or even if I am close to being either. al

Too bad you can't get the certs for an IRA without having to pay the tax man. But everyone else, ASK FOR THOSE CERTS.

You can tell your broker to put every kind of lockout, no loan code you want, but unless you get the certs, Shorty will short them. The Visigoths don't care about lock out codes and broker policies. They seem 'em on a DTC report, they short 'em.

Take possession of your certs.
