I am not sure Cowpland should be the spokesman for the company but I
continue(at the risk of repeating previous posts) to believe Corel
has a good product and its pricing is so superior to Microsoft, there
has to be a market. I just bought a new computer and bought Office 97
Corel Suite 8 with it. Becuase of software at my business and other uses,
I felt I needed both but I also wanted to compare. The price, provided
the software was bought with the computer was less than 1/2 for the Corel
product. Surely, if the product is good and if there is a profit in the
current price, that Corel should be able to win back market share with
a reasonable marketing program.

Revbill, After seeing Dr. Cowpland's interview today, I'm convinced that he could succeed as his company's spokesman. It takes real chutzpah to step up to the plate in such a role, but if he can dig deep down enough and come up with the courage, it will work.

Appearance and mannerisms are totally irrelevant in the shadow of secure confidence. As long as the message is clear, correctly delivered, it may take 25 shots to get it just right, but it can be done. You just have to firmly and confidently believe in what you say.

Lee Iacocca "ain't no Cary Grant" either. But his confidence in himself, his company and its products sold the American people in huge numbers, one of the ugliest cars ever produced--the "K" Car.
