Man, am I ever happy never to have owned any of that crap.

Instead, I apparently Apple scored!

When not, I went outside the reservation, and got hacks. Easy.

So happy!

What the hell was Ping supposed to be, anyway?

Loved the Cube. Gorgeous piece of hardware. It was just a little ahead of it's time, couldnt really squeeze good enough hardware into such a small space. It resurrected as the Mini.

Both Google and Apple show the value in taking risks. Here's hoping they continue.

Wouldn't put AppleTV in the graveyard category. It's more than making up for it's development costs, and there are a surprising number of them out there. Will be interesting to see how it evolves come "January". :)

Good list of historical failures.

The original Apple TV was not a failure - it did work, but it found only mediocre popularity - sort of an Apple Zune. But version 2 is a damn nice little unit that makes the Google TV look like an exercise in stupidity.

Got anything recent Apple failures? Say within the last 5 or even 10 years? Anything at all that had or has the potential to derail the Apple juggernaut?

P'r'aps those 'useless' MacBook Airs? The train just gets faster and faster.
