They have a 50% chance.

Either they hit or they don't.

There is a good chance there is a source.

There is an even chance with the acceptability of 1.2 gram grades over 50 metres as mineable that the source could be fecund and refulgent.

I think if they do hit a source, it will be a lot of medium grade gold veins. So they may need a swarm.

With glaciation their source could be over 3 miles SE. On other hand the NE river beds show that the source dumped intermittently, so the ridges could have it here and there. Otherwise gold would all be flattened and in every river equally.

Ok. A 53.7% chance.
