The issue is really black and white, but it's important to get the principles right, or of course "problems" result.

The principles are

.....voluntary interaction to trade
.....no free lunch [which means not voting to take opm]

With minimum wages set, making it illegal for low value people to live other than on government handouts of opm when the price of people falls because some great new technology makes millions of them obsolete, of course there are problems. But without a minimum pay rate, their price would fall until they get something useful to do such as massaging feet, stroking foreheads, or whatever they can find to do to sell to somebody else.

The argument has been going at least since Luddite days [and no doubt long before]. Luddites lose every time.
