Why? The Obama tax cuts expire in 2012. Everyone's will increase then back to the higher Clinton rates...and we will hear whining by those who thought they would get away with only 2% paying higher rates....

How about giving up on increasing revenue and learning to live within your means. We're talking about 2008 revenue levels......not 1915.

Kenneth, if I understand correctly, if we have a lock up in the deficit committee, the cut of the military and non-military cuts will be made. Since the Republicans do not want military cuts and the Democrats do not want cuts to entitlements I perceives that this will be a motivating force to raise revenue. What ever comes out of the committee will be fast tracked with a simple majority. Again the risk, IMO, will be to great on the parties. Again, the House and Senate are under time restrictions.
