Al, > Where did you get the crackpot idea that democrats are cheeing the failure of these companies?

Liberals view Big Oil as completely evil. A few even want to nationalize the oil industry. Hardly any liberal wants to see Big Oil succeed and make tons of money.

Health insurance is another target of liberal demagoguery. They post the profits of health insurance companies as a bad thing and evidence of their culpability in rising health care costs. The truth is something completely different, but liberals don't care as long as some people are denied their so-called "right" to unlimited medical care.

Don't tell me that's not "cheering their failure" if you think conservatives pointing out poor sales of the Chevy Volt is "cheering for the failure of GM."

“I think some of our members may have thought the default issue was a hostage you might take a chance at shooting,” he said. “Most of us didn’t think that. What we did learn is this — it’s a hostage that’s worth ransoming. And it focuses the Congress on something that must be done.”

You mean like Democrats cheering for the failure of Big Oil, Big Tobacco, and health insurance?

Where did you get the crackpot idea that democrats are cheeing the failure of these companies? Well, on tobacco you may have a point....

Don't pay too much attention to Ten. He can't stand that he's one of the bad guys. ;-)
