We were very fortunate with NGD reporting very good results yesterday. It has immunized it to some degree from the bloodbath.

Tomorrow will be a very interesting day, a lot more interesting than today.

The Bundesbank's president is calling for the ECB to stop buying PIIG bonds. If it does, Greece goes into the tank and once Greece goes, Portugal goes and then.......sh*tstorm.

Don't know how serious Germany is about this, but for it to become public knowledge via zerohedge is very, very significant in my view.

The Euros have not had a chance (or are incapable of) formulating a good plan.

There are probably some margin calls getting made on hedge funds. Probably keeping gold down to some extent as it gets sold.

A bright spot: the markets have ruined the shindig at Jackson Hole. vbg.
