But the NYTimes had an article Tuesday showing the gross salaries of some of the management of disabled care facilities. These public employees were making over a million and getting their kids college paid for. At the local level, the casino here run by Native Americans is so full of retirees pushing the slots as to be mind boggling. That's fine - but if the Native Americans get a monopoly for casinos maybe it is time to wean them from the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs and let them pay their own way. ................Jon Stewart had a great piece last night showing a chart of our government spending growth including what a difference the new agreement in Congress made. IT was the tiniest of slivers. Government has to shrink - that is unarguable any more. But the tone of discussion continues to be an embarrassment for our County - by both sides.
