**OT** Martin - Mortgage Rates

Now may be the time to lock in.

Rates on the 10 year are only 15 bp above the Feb 96 Low of 5.6.

Professional opinions here is that we are at the bottom,
the 10 year will not dip below 5.8 and probably move above 5.9
this week.

You need to remember that Jumbo rates (loans above 214,000) are
approx 35 bp above the conforming (non-jumbo) rates, which are a
fixed spread above the 10 year.

I am in the same boat of trying to guess when would be a good time to lock in.
