Hope it doesn't interfere with SPOT that JXM and Smithee are carrying this weekend. JXM is on the side of Mt Whitney headed to Grass Lake. He's still got a piece to go before he gets there. He got a late start. He ran into some guys coming down the mountain who told him that he'll be the only one on that particular trail. I took a look at the terrain on Google Earth and there are incredibly steep drop offs on either side of the trail he's on. The trail he's on is much steeper than the Mt. Whitney main trail. Smithee is making great time.
