Though we presently have a gap from yesterday's close, even the TA gurus I've talked to tell me that the gap does not have to get filled. They talk about momentum gaps and those that occur as a result of extraordinary fundamental news. Those situations need not have a retrenchment. I once checked Intel back two years and there were numerous gaps, on both the up and downside. All the downside gaps were filled (of course) but a number of upside gaps were never re-tested...at least so far. Now, I'm not saying my precious COCO is Intel(not yet that is) but in light of all the shorting and positive fundamentals, today's gap need not be filled. TraderGreg
