Yes.. tragic.. extremely tragic. And a great loss to the SEAL and SF community. Someone will have to replace them so operations can continue. War is an expensive enterprise, both in blood and treasure. Not sure why so many of the SEALs were packed into one chinook. Normally they use Blackhawks and "Little Birds" for their raids. But apparently none of the victims were members of the ST6 group that killed Obama. Those folks rotated back to the states after the raid. Whoever they were after was likely a High Value Target (HVT), or else they wouldn't have deployed them. Sad day.. Very sad day!! Hawk

Mar ..... the loss of human life anywhere, particularly at the hands of other humans, comes at high cost to humanity. That they are Seals or anything else is a function of one's position. Underneath that position (which is simply a collection of ideas, ultimately "false" ideas) you are dealing with human life .... and the loss is a great loss under any condition because awareness has been lost. Look at this collection of ideas. --- war is good; war is necessary --- we will have the best soldiers; we will have Seals --- we will change Afghanistan to suit us --- our values are good; your values are poor --- our god is true; your god is false; god is on our side --- power is might --- we know how to improve your existence --- we know how to make you happy In my post to Mq, I listed two conjectures. Message 27548097 The first one says we will be continue to be destroyed by our own invention. You have an example. The second one says that while someone is selling you on the idea "if we do this things will be better," energy in one form will change to another, and the pace of change gets more rapid. You have an example. Every day there is someone who promises you a better world with "his" or "her" idea. Nearly always, "his" or "her" idea has more to do with someone's material wealth than the common good. In the extremely rare instances where the promise was true, the message has been lost. There will be time for a third conjecture, when Mq is ready. :)
