Well, Ted, I think you need to learn to play the short side. In times like these, it's the shorts that are making money - the longs are just getting slaughtered.

You don't have to go the options route anymore, as you can buy short ETF's that trade just like long stocks. You can put stops on them just like stocks.

These are some I've used, with short and long ETf's, some leveraged.


I am well aware of the ETFs.

The problem is I have to have cash sitting idle to play that game.....which means that cash can sit for weeks waiting for a reversal and that reversal might only last two days. Its not worth it. I'll go to short ETFs if we are definitely going into recession and the trend is mostly down.
