Yes.

As far as Obama being an "African-American", I have to disagree. He's a mullatto raised by a white single mother. He hardly KNEW his father. He was raised overseas as a young boy, and then in Hawaii by his white grandparents.

African-Americans have a certain attitude. I don't see it in Obama. Africans have a different attitude, a certain pride that tells you they don't see themselves as any less than you, or trace their linage back to slaves. I don't see that in Obama either.

Obama seems to have had a unique upbringing, that defies classification or stereotyping.

I thought so too until I heard him talk about the fear that his grandmother harbored when she saw a big black man across the street from her. There was and is common to have some sort of stereotyping even in these days.

He must have graduated top notch when and if he attended any class in "anger management."

Not really. It may seem unique to you but a couple of my friends in LA were mixed race and had grown up with a white mother. In fact, mixed race is becoming much more common and its frequently the white mother that raises the kid. Other well known examples are Alicia Keys, Corinne Rae Baily, Halle Berry, Mariah Carey.......all raised by white mothers.

And growing up mixed race in this country is almost harder to traverse than growing up black or Latino as my LA friends will attest. They are caught between two worlds........one white, currently the dominant race in this country, and the other, a minority race. If they present as the minority race, then their lives are just that much harder. Why do you think Barack called himself Barry in high school? He was trying to survive the white world which surrounded him. Why do you think he moved thousands of miles away from Hawaii and gravitated to the black race in Chicago?

Obama could easily have dated a white women but he chose a black woman? Why do you think that is?

I don't think a white man can understand what its like to grow up in this country not white, not male. I know I didn't. When people threw into my face the concept of white entitlement, I quickly became angry. It took years for me to understand the concept. However, women, minorities, gays etc get it very quickly.

Obama learned to behave in a way that would be most acceptable to white men......but always careful not to be too uppity. What you see as weakness is how Obama got around white prejudices. He had to be smarter and better and more clever than all the white people around him to get ahead. That's why I voted for him......he's the best this country has to offer......white, black, red, yellow, brown. It takes a man half black/ half white who is brilliant to get where he is today.

And even then, some whites don't respect him.......hence the phone calls not returned, the talk of tar baby, watermelons growing on the White House lawn, a hip hop birthday, the talk that he's not liberal enough......et al. Its all white men making these comments and behaving in this fashion because they feel threatened or they want him to behave as a white man would.

Your president is getting dissed......what are you going to do about it? This is how the Rs will win............its the circular firing squad so called liberals have set up in this country. I suspect its how Rs always win.
