Now get this: there are two and only two things that excite Americans the most: one is sex and the other is religion. If it was not sex then Clinton/Monica would not have grabbed the headlines it did. If it was not religion then Jr. would not have become President.

When I see people expressing religion in public like the mass prayer of today or the Islamic call to prayer from the minarets of mosques, then it is sign that they their mental abilities need re calibration. Ever wondered why the very folks who have no qualms about public display of their religious faith would not want to display their sexual acts in public like they do their religious faith. If we were to peep through their bedroom window and observe them having sex, they would chase us away with their guns. But if you peep through their church window and catch them praying, they would be pleased.

And about priests. A church goer asked his priest if he could smoke while he was praying. The priest objected admonishing the follower that when he is praying he should do nothing but pray. The same person then asked the priest if he could pray while he was smoking and the priest was extremely pleased. That much for the mortal being, the priest who is preaching about God, the immortal.

Isn't the talk about religion on this thread "The Rape of the APE (American Puritan Ethics)."

How about you ... are you willing to say you want prayers censored or banned in veteran's cemetaries?

The VA has already been slapped down by one federal judge for trying to censor a pastor's prayer.

I don't think the VFW, the local American Legion post, and the National Memorial Ladies (a widows group) are lying.
