Hell of a post SS. A complex analysis to a complex question and it sure rings true to me.

The most charitable explanation is that he and his advisers have succumbed to a view of electoral success to which many Democrats succumb — that “centrist” voters like “centrist” politicians. Centrist voters prefer honest politicians who help them solve their problems.

Let's assume for argument's sake centrist voters don't like centrist politicians. Kind of strange but WTH let's take it on. What politicians do you think centrist voters prefer, Scott? After all, its a given that most voters would prefer their politicans to be honest. So besides honesty, what are centrist voters looking for?
