According to Bentway's article, Obama hasn't always been a corporate jet hater:

"WASHINGTON — President Obama used to like corporate jets. As a senator in 2005, he crisscrossed the country in them nine times to attend fund-raisers and other events, reimbursing the corporate jet owners at first-class rates. "

First class rates? Really? After you pay the initial purchase price of $30M (lots of jobs), and the $500k/year annual upkeep, operating costs are maybe 3k/hour (Gulfstream IV).

But he reimbursed "first class" rates. Sounds like a deal. I think I'll take that deal next time I fly anywhere.
