I see your kid is posting now..................and that he's fine. Whew! I have one like him............always going into wilderness situations alone and I'm kind of glad he doesn't use a spot. He does have a GPS locator for his own use, and for that I'm glad. I don't like some of the stories he tells after the fact, like the time he was sitting on a ledge over looking a lovely valley when he all of the sudden heard a snort behind him. He slowly turned around and was face to face with a black bear. Fortunately, he had a rifle in his hands and the bear skedaddled when he aimed it at his head. I think I'm a bit upset about him sitting on the edge of a ledge too. <gg> And then of course there are the stories from their youth. The ones they hid or lied about but eventually explain what they were actually doing when they came screaming into the house and one of them with blood profusely dripping from his head. I never will get over worrying and wondering and praying my sons are well.
