I guess you have completely forgotten what went on in Congress leading up to the extension of the Bush tax cuts. Republicans in the Senate demanded the extension of the Bush tax cuts to end their filibuster against extending unemployment benefits and several other vitally important acts. That's what happened. Once again, a Congressional minority held its breath until it turned blue, and finally got what they wanted. Incredibly, they and their supporters now claim that Obama and the Dems were wholly responsible for the final bill.
