Although I am not opposed to targeted tax cuts. I am opposed to tax cuts for the very wealthy (which is what the Bush tax cuts were) because they don't spur demand. Or investment. Demand spurs investment; plenty of money would show up to be invested if demand was there without tax cuts.

You just don't understand the magic of "supply side" economics, otherwise know as voodoo economics. If you build it, they will come. I'm somewhat mystified what building's been done by the rich tax cut beneficiaries, though.

Tax cuts for rich people may result in more investment capitol, but to what end? Not that that or the original "cuts increase revenue" Laffer folderal matter anymore, the primary Republican line seems to be theological, maybe Randoid, but primarily Grover Norquist and the inner circle of strategists playing starve the beast in every way they can.
