The issue is the S&P downgrade, not how some Tea Partiers talked about how we could have managed through a default.

That's largely why we GOT THIS DOWNGRADE...listen and read...

Tell us how you would deal with it, if you were in Obama's shoes. Just whine and point fingers, or do whatever it takes to reconcile both sides in Congress and still preserve the S&P AAA rating, even if it costs you politically?

If I were obama I would work to put a detailed proposal on the table now...this proposal needs to contain tough medicine on the entitlement side, tax reform, and an investment strategy...he needs to essentially telegraph to this supercongress that he's looking for more than just a 2T cut or whatever the dollar figure is...this process needs to be more thoughtful...it needs to deal with debt and with america's future standing in the world...the TP has dumbed it down too much.
