Charles,

I'm not quite sure but I guess it's the violence used in the game (certain other games are also kind of censored like Doom, Quake etc., i.e. you can only buy it at the age of 18 or older or blood is removed or other violent stuff) and the fact that actually noone from the officials ever bothered to play this game. They just heard violence, Nazis, video game = not for us.
Hogan's Heroes was never shown because the TV stations thought comedy and Nazis would not appeal to the German viewer. Now they finally showed it and it became a great success. I like the funny dialogues and the way the Nazis are portrayed.
