And it was Bill who publicly advised him to stand firm. Clinton was saying invoke the 14th. First of all, there is considerable controversial surrounding the use of the 14th and whether it would be constitutional.....so there is no guarantee that Obama or Clinton could have made it stick. It wouldn't be the first time machismo did Clinton's talking for him. This was his opportunity to destroy those who did not have the interest of America as their primary goal. THey were doing the bidding of the rich which is no different than those 9/11 bombers who were doing the bidding of Osama and his gang of thugs. I admonish myself when I make mistakes. In the same vein, I think we can admonish others even if we consider them as our near and dear ones. Considering the alternatives, I am going to vote for him in 2012. You know.......there are any number of ways to skin a cat. Did you look at the poll numbers I posted this AM? For the first time I think Americans finally are recognizing who the Republicans really are. Their numbers are worse than ever. By comparison, Obama and the Dems look like saints. Look at that poll closely and the chart I posted with it. That is the first time I have seen the Dems and Obama looking so much better than the Rs. Why? Because Obama acted the adult and kept the Dems in line while the Rs spouted their craziness. Looks like the stocks are doing well today. I presume, like me, you too are waiting to see how the Wisconsin recall votes shakes out today. Yes, but keep in mind, we don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. All but one of the contests are in very red districts and the last one is pinkish red. So if the Dems win any of the districts, its a very big win.
