Does it matter what they use? Look to Intel, the Japanese, and the Koreans for clues about the importance of X-ray lithography. IBM's fab will be the only X-ray fab in the world when it becomes operational in 1999.

With IBM's resounding endorsement of X-ray by announcing this single fab, the message is clear, IBM likes XRL, but does the rest of the semiconductor world? Intel has already voted thumbs down on XRL.
