What you describe I have never seen nor heard of. I would be curious as to what kind of church did that. I'm guessing Mormons. You may not hear about it because folks figure you are paying up enough- if you aren't, my guess is you are talked about plenty behind your back, and maybe to your face, but it's possible you are thick skinned enough not to notice. I find that strange and humorous. It just doesn't work that way. Hardly anyone would even know what I give for one thing. My giving is entirely based on my own inner compulsion based on what I think is right.
