Exactly. Wayners. It goes something like this... 1. The Ajax Pharmaceutical Corporation wants to peddle their AIDS snake oil in Afrowanda, Africa. 2. The local tribal warlord in Afrowanda tells the CEO of Ajax "Uga buga fuga," which loosely translates to, "Hell no! What's in it for me, white devil?" 3. The owner of Ajax, who gives 20 million to the Republican Party and another 20 million to the Democratic Party during each election cycle, gets on the blower to Washington and commands his congressional puppets, "Vote to pipe foreign aid to the government of Afrowanda, pronto, and authorize a 20 billion dollar subsidy directly to Ajax for our humanitarian relief efforts in Africa. 4. Congress replies with, "Yes sir," and votes accordingly. 5. Soon afterwards, Afrowanda's tribal warlord is suddenly wealthy beyond his dreams. Likewise, the owner of Ajax is much wealthier, operating at full capacity in Afrowanda, and he even has legions of local tribal laborers at his disposal, toiling under the whip of the warlord. 6. A short while later, several key members of the congressional committee that (a) drafted the foreign aid package to Afrowanda, and (b) approved the 20 billion dollar subsidy to Ajax retire from Congress and are given very lucrative "consulting" contracts with Ajax that dwarfs their former congressional salaries and perks. 7. U.S. taxpayers eat it. -ng- --- Did I miss anything? -ng-
