I assume that it is the infection IN the cells that alarms the immune system and NOT the virus in the blood. So keeping the blood count low is good for keeping the infection rate low. Fewer 'bullets' meas fewer 'shot' cells.

I do like the double barreled approach provided by CIDES + DRACO - clearing the virus from the blood stream AND from the cells.
