No, I was not "of the opinion"...I just knew your post was BS and stated so...

Clearly the necessary Stimulus increased our spend but it did reverse the nearly MINUS 9% GDP disaster and the sudden 3/4 million job loss numbers. The Stimulus should have been bigger but because we were already in such financial ditch Congress was queasy and guess what, we are now going to do UK type austerity.

Without searching for a precise number, I will estimate that it accounted for around $100B/year...the stimulus added another $300B/yr....much of the rest was already baked in the 2009 budget that bush put together.

No way, Ten. Bush would not have done that horrible fiscal stimulus. That's the better part of a trillion dollars right there.

We'll never know, but I suspect the economy would be well on its way to recovery were Bush still president.
