They already know it. They are very unlikely to make a mistake in calculation (and probably if they did make it they would fix it if it was pointed out to them), but they aren't going to change their basic assumptions because I disagree with them. And that's fine. They are free to use whatever assumptions they want. Its just that if they are assuming your viewpoint than their calculations don't actually demonstrate that your viewpoint is correct. It isn't evidence or argument for the point beyond the argument from authority that "the CBO believes X, so I think X is true".
