Had an expectation when BRK was bought. BRK maybe met that expectation? Other stocks bought or considered did MUCH better than BRK.

Was it therefore a bad decision to buy BRK? Or was it the right stock for the expectation, but the expectation was wrong?

Or was it that the expectation changed?

Maybe it's a matter of viewpoint or perception and adjusting expectations. If I'm a salaryman and I work hard and I expect to get a 5-6% annual raise, and I get a 12% raise, I'm very satisfied. Maybe only though until I find out some of my coworkers got 20% raises. Then suddenly my unexpectedly good raise has become a bad and unsatisfactory one.
