Do you ever close out the position prior to getting a signal in the opposite direction?

I personally do trade the more internal minor swings, but my model, based on the raw signals, is always either long or short, it never goes flat, the trend is always either up or down... thanks, my model has been a mammoth money maker from the beginning... silver looks suspect, but I imagine it could turn higher once the selling is over... I did cover my short silver today and went long, but I also wrote calls on it, so I'm okay with it going sideways for a while, at least until I see something more definitive...<g>
