You almost made me spill my coffee. That's the dumbest line I've heard in long time. My house is people, too, but that doesn't stop the town from raising my property taxes.

This crap about corporate taxes killing jobs infuriates me. Corporate income taxes are levied on NET INCOME. Every dime a corporation spends on salaries & wages, factories, equipment, supplies is a TAX DEDUCTIBLE expense.

If a corporation hires people the immediate net effect is a reduction in net income and reduced taxes. When these new hires get productive and start contributing, net income goes up and only then does the corporation pay taxes. That seems more than fair.
