ABC...I asked both questions..common or options to txn and my broker...and....you get the split either way..it all has to do with record keeping that's the extent of it only..I mean it wouldn't make sense for someone to buy txn after the "record date" if they didn't get the split too...they would loose out......anyone can by txn up until Friday and get the split...i called txn and my own broker which is Waterhouse...SO you might want to pass that to your CFA.....but it is an important thing to know if one is suggesting buying stocks and I do understand financial planning very well...I had thought this was the case that one would get the split..but due to having a cold..it clouded my brain and when I saw what you wrote..I had to think twice...it's ok...I just wanted to make sure you knew too seeing you could be giving wrong advice...

Hi ABC:

In order to highlight a word, you may try the following without making the words BOLD.
Try this:
left arrow(<) b right arrow(>) write the word left arrow/b right arrow.

This will work
