Yep, we all have a fink or two in the background. at one point, i had a whole damned floor full of finks. brilliant philosopher/mathematician, chess player, guy from rockefeller-level family, insane mexican, adventurer....the women loved us, we were so ...unusual...two now dead, one wonderful woman stricken early, the adventurer who dove off a bridge without checking water depth....scary to think that my son might do 1/2 of what i did, i'd be horrified and scared stiff. goodgodamighty, those were the days. epic stuff. these guys mostly burned out but not all, some lead quiet lives, academics, tax lawyer, pediatrician, etc. the days before limits, 1969-1973 but you made me almost talk almost maudlin talk, so back to brutal reality; italians bite the bullet: reuters.com
