And of course, with your blinders on, you may not be able to see similar successes in other times, cultures, and geographies.

I concede though that some of the modern systems as they work today date back to the structures laid down in Victorian era. And they worked remarkably well.

Economy under macroeconomic perspective looks ok. But people is suffering for:
