Was Obama serious about sending grandma home with a pain pill, denying her help? IMO, that was one of the only (if not only) intelligent comment I've heard from Obama. Can we really afford to provide every health care service to everyone who wants it? The reality is, health care has to be rationed, and as insensitive as it sounds, paying $25k or more to implant a pacemaker in a 99 year old woman doesn't make sense. If the family has the money and wants to spend it, that's one thing, but you have to draw the line somewhere when it comes to shared responsibility.
