Thank you John. I have a fairly new computer which has a USB port. I gather that this port is not that widely available since there aren't too many devices so far which can connect to it. Will coms cable modems be plug and play? Will the ASDL modem and the cable modem have comparable speeds? I'm trying to learn whether these two different technologies will be competing at the same time, on the same playing fields and in the same marketplace. Will the ASDL modem be a threat to coms?
