Re: SVU I took out a small position today. I do not disagree much with what you said, but see it as an acceptable gamble at current price. Unions: grocery store unions are in a weak position now. Dividends: being paid at nearly 5%. There is core wholesale business in decent shape. Retail is segmented, and some parts can be jettisoned. On the negative side you left out how management has a long unbroken sequence of failed moves. But heck, sooner or later they have got to get something right. Anyway, for me it is a lukewarm buy.
