In Arkansas, we have and are building new roads to the boondocks, while existing roads are horrible. A friend of mine commented, and that I agree with: "there's no ribbon cutting ceremonies for fixing potholes". Oh my, how depressing....meanwhile, in this small town I live in, the town employed folk go around town, taking their time trimming trees, blocking roads, leaving a mess when they're finished for the day.....the trimming is important because of the ice here in the winter....but sheesh......... We citizens just don't scream often and loud enough to our local gvts.......I'm one of them.....
