Apparently, since 1979, the winner of the Ames straw poll usually ends up on the GOP ticket either as president or VP. If Bachmann gets on the ticket, it will show just how crazy and extreme the GOP has become.

As if we need anymore evidence...it's pretty well accepted that she can't win a genera, she'd be a liability to a romney ticket and she'd be redundant to a perry ticket...so it's theater for the moment.
